07/21/10 - Bayou Berries at Simmon's Bayou - Open for the season
If you travel from Port St Joe to Cape San Blas or Indian Pass you will travel C-30A and make your way next the beautiful St Joe Bay. Going thru Simmons Bayou you will see Bayou Blueberries near Triple Tails. This is a U - pick blueberry patch and is a fun family outing. I stopped with my boys and picked 2 pounds of tasty blueberries.
If you are a repeat visitor, you might have noticed they were closed last year. The owners had pruned the plants and they did not have enough time to recover for last summer’s season. However these plants are producing a great harvest. The cost is only $2.50 / pound. Bring some bug spray and get ready to have a fun family adventure.
