03/08/10 - Springtime on the Forgotten Coast
Springtime here means warm weather, cobalt blue skies, uncrowded beaches, stary nights, pine pollen and new visitors to the area. Spring Break is different here with few college students but mainly families enjoying a school break from Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi and other nearby states including Florida. If the college students want action they head West about 2 hours to Panama City Beach. This is an ideal spot for small children, adolescents and adults to kick back, enjoy this uncrowded area and relax with your family and friends. Some visitors only come in Spring and Fall for the solitude, shelling or horseback riding on the beach by day and with a beach bonfire at night. The stress just oozes out after 24 hours. Another new development, the Cape Tradin' Post has new ownership and a new attitude; you should see their improved selection and stop by our office to say HI.
